We will explore the physical and energetic aspects of backbends, how to use the front body and breath, and cultivate trust and openness with ourselves through this practice.
The spine holds our stories, and the heart — our softness, strength, and sometimes, our sorrow. In this workshop, we’ll use the practice of backbending as a pathway to emotional and physical release — inviting the body to let go, open up, and feel more deeply.
Through intentional movement, breathwork, and supported heart-opening postures, we’ll explore how backbends can unlock stuck energy, restore balance to the nervous system, and offer space for healing. With compassion, care and always playfulness, we’ll strengthen the back body to hold us, so the front body can soften — revealing vulnerability not as weakness, but as courage.
This is a practice of presence, of gently peeling back layers, and of learning to meet yourself — exactly as you are. Come as you are, and leave a little lighter, a little freer, and a little more connected to yourself in your practice.

Deep warm-up to prepare the spine and shoulders
Technique tips for common and advanced backbends
Modifications and props for safe alignment
Breathwork to support opening and release
A relaxing, grounded closing sequence
Open to all levels—especially those looking to explore backbends with more awareness, strength, and grace.
